Guide how to configurate Transaction check

Automates web site transaction such as form submission or site traversal. Checks web operations consistency according to the specified validations in the following steps.

This type of monitoring allowed only in special packages.

To configure a transaction check, follow these steps:

  • Select Transaction check as the monitoring type.

  • Optionally, assign a transaction name for easy identification.

  • Set an interval for how often the check should be performed (e.g., every 10 minutes).

  • Enter the URL of the website you want to monitor in the provided field.

  • Adjust the timeout setting according to your preference. If a response is not received within this time, an alert will be triggered.

  • Click “Add new transaction step” if more steps are needed and repeat the process for each additional step. You can add up to 10 steps in total.

  1. Click Page Element:

    • Select the page element you want to interact with. Use the “Click page element” option in the selector.

    • This action simulates a user clicking on a specific element on the webpage.

  2. Fill in a Text Input:

    • If required, enter text into input fields. This step is useful for testing form submissions or search boxes.

  3. Verify Textual Content on the Page:

    • Ensure that the page contains the expected textual content. This step confirms that specific information is present.

  4. Verify Page Elements:

    • Check if specific elements (buttons, links, images, etc.) are visible or correctly loaded on the page.

    • Useful for validating the overall layout and functionality of the webpage.

  5. Go Back to the Previous Page:

    • Use browser navigation controls or links available on the webpage to return to the previous page.

    • Useful for testing backward navigation.

  6. Navigate to a New Page:

    • Click on links or buttons that lead to another webpage.

    • This step allows you to verify transitions between different pages.

  7. Wait for a Specified Time:

    • If needed, add a wait time to allow elements or pages to load before proceeding.

    • Useful for handling dynamic content or slow-loading pages.

Remember to adjust these steps based on your specific use case and the behavior you want to monitor during the transaction check.

  • Use a CSS selector to specify which element on the page should be clicked. After clicking, choose whether to end the current step or proceed with additional steps.

 

  • Add tags if needed for categorization and faster search within your monitored sites group.

  • Enable or disable options like full log, open stats, and web users monitoring according to your requirements: 

    • Full log: Allows saving every check result without grouping them.

    • Open stats: Share statistics and logs with other people, including unregistered users.

Under the “Locations” tab, choose specific regions or “All world” to monitor from various geographical locations.

Choose Your Notification Preferences:

  • In the “Subscribe all selected” section, you’ll find three options: 

    • “Up”: Select this if you want to receive notifications via email one month, 7 days, and 3 days before your domain expiration date.

    • “Down”: Choose this option to get notified when your domain name has already expired.

    • “Repeat”: Opt for this if you wish to receive daily alerts until the issue is resolved.

Uptime Reports:

  • Under “Subscribe all selected,” choose the frequency of uptime reports: daily, weekly, or monthly.

  • Enter an email address where these reports will be sent.

  • Click “Save” to apply your settings.
